What is Securalot?

Securalot is a free browser RPG for studying the CompTIA Security+ (SY0-701) exam. You play an orphan who wants to become a knight. Along the road sit 29 primary missions (one per official exam subdomain), plus scrolls and side drills for fuller coverage. Clear the realm, then take a mock exam for a Scroll of Honor you can download.

How you learn

  • Missions. Talk to NPCs and answer questions tied to exam objectives. Some answers change the map; some grant a piece of gear.
  • Scrolls. Lore pickups while you explore. They reinforce facts and do not gate progress.
  • Side drills. Six short lessons that add topics for the best exam coverage. They do not grant gear or block ceremonies.
  • Bosses. Domain guardians that open the next region when defeated.
  • Journal. Quests, coverage, scrolls, map, mastery, and Honor.
  • Scroll of Honor. A SY0-701-shaped mock exam (90 questions, 90 minutes, scaled pass ≥ 750) after you clear the realm.

Progression

You start ragged. Weapons and armor come from early quests. A warhorse mounts you for the open road. In the Undercrypt you probe the darkness of the vaults. Near the end, the Crown marks the realm’s trust. The legend name Sir Securalot waits for the king’s blessing, not the first meadow.

Path to the Scroll of Honor

  1. Clear primary missions in each domain, then the ceremony and domain boss
  2. Slay the Compliance Wyrm and finish High Council investiture
  3. Open the journal Honor tab and pass the mock exam (90 questions, 90 minutes, scaled ≥ 750)
  4. Download or share your Scroll of Honor card

Side drills and scrolls help with fuller exam coverage. The card shows your trial score, play time, combat stats, and strength across every SY0-701 domain.
